THE END OF HIS RULING
The time of ruling for Alexander the great ended with his death at the young age of 32 in the summer of 323 BC in Babylon, Iraq while conquering the area. The cause of his death remains a mystery, many historians have tried to figure out the cause, they go from the possibility of poisoning, malaria, thyroid fever and more. He drank wine in a reunion and after a 3 day fever he passed away, his body was put in a honey bat to try to kick off decay, but was later cremated in Memphis. His empire was in a very good place when he died and continued to be so even after he died, but his successors fought for the throne and the empire was eventually divided into five parts by some of his generals.

WHAT DID PEOPLE THINK OF HIM
People who lived under the ruling of Alexander quite liked him because he was such a good leader and people weren't afraid that they were going to be attacked as they never were in danger, but there were some who continued to hold grudges because they didn't want to be conquered, specially the persians because Alexander and his armies destroyed the persian temples in the battle, and that was extremely offensive to them, their religion and their gods, this resulted in them hating Alexander.

POLICIES
Back in the homeland of Alexander, Macedonia there weren't any written laws just ancient customs that the king applied them to whatever interpretation he wanted them to be, and because Alexander grew up in that environment, he took this style enforced it into his ruling, in all the places he conquered, he would take the rules of that place and made them his own, this rules were very successful as they accommodated to the lifestyle of the people and it wasn't that much different from what the used to have before Alexander came to power. They were some rules he did made up in his head, for example anyone who betrayed him or plotted against him had to be executed, he went up to killing military leaders, close mentors and even friends because of this.

METHODS TO ESTABLISH CONTROL
Alexander the Great used various methods to establish control throughout his whole empire. When he went to other cities and places to work, he would keep his mother and sister in Macedonia to keep people there loyal to him while he was gone, in the same matter with that, when he conquered places he would respect the lifestyle and culture of the people that live there, for instance when he conquered Egypt he made sacrifices to the Egyptian gods, this is because if he respected them, the respect would be mutual and the citizens wouldn't rebel against him. What he also did was spreading fear, like when Thebes attacked him first when a rumor was spread that Alexander has dead, and when Alexander heard this, he rushed to Thebes with incredible speed and completely destroyed the city, he killed every men and also sold all the woman and children to slavery, by spreading fear, people wouldn't mess with him and this avoided lots of trouble.
